Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the impact of life skills training on marital burnout among women married to disabled war veteran.
Method: The research method is experimental with pretest-posttest and control group. The research population included the wives of disabled veterans with 25 to 50 percent disability who lived in Islamabad Gharb, Iran in 2015. The sample consisted of 30 wives of disabled veterans selected through the convenient random sampling method and were assigned into control (n = 15) and experimental (n = 15) groups. They completed the Pines Marita Burnout Scale. The experimental group received nine weekly sessions of life skills training, and the control group received no intervention. Analysis of covariance was utilized to analyze the data.
Results: The results of analysis of covariance revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in regard to the components of marital burnout. The rate of marital burnout and those of its components were significantly decreased among the subjects in the experimental group compared to the pre-test stage and control group.
Discussion: Life skills training results in reducing marital burnout and its components among the wives of disabled war veteran.

Introduction: Members of the armed forces have a high-tension and specifically complex job associated with physical dangers and being away from the family, which can affect married life. The purpose of this study was to predict military men’s taking the perspective of their wives based on work-family conflict, flexibility, and emotional labor. Method: The research design is descriptive-correlational. The statistical population consisted of all the official staff of a military organization based in Ahvaz, Iran. A sample of 200 subjects was selected from among the married men through the purposive sampling method. The instruments utilized in this study included the Carikci Work-Family Conflict Scale, the Flexibility Subscale of the Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Scale, the Emotional Labor Questionnaire (Briët et al.), and the Long Perspective-Taking Scale. To test the hypotheses, Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis with simultaneous and step-by-step methods were used. Results: The results indicated a significant negative relationship between work-family conflict (r = -0.239) and emotional labor (r = -0.491) and a positive significant relationship (r = 0.619) between flexibility and perspective-taking (p < 0.05). Also, the simultaneous regression analysis revealed that a combination of the three variables accounted for about 45 percent of the variance. The stepwise regression analysis further showed that emotional labor and flexibility were the best predictors of perspective-taking. Discussion: Military people’s marital relationships are very important and their perspective-taking, as an important variable, can be predicted based on work-family conflict, flexibility, and emotional labor.

Method: The research design is quasi-experimental, and the statistical population included all the patients referring to health centers in Tehran who were suffering from the Iraqi Imposed War-related PTSD based on psychiatrists’ diagnoses and the Mississippi PTSD Scale. The sample was selected using the convenient sampling method, the data were collected using the Mississippi PTSD Scale and the Enrich Marital Satisfaction Scale, and the collected data were analyzed using multivariate covariance.
Result: The results revealed that Adlerian family encouragement training decreases such clinical problem as re-experiencing, isolation, numbness, over-excitement, and self-irritation among disabled veterans with PTSD.

Introduction: Mental peace is an inevitable and vital necessity for humanity. Today, mental stress is known as the disease of the civilization, and to get rid of it, the holy Quran is considered the best healing remedy. The purpose of this study is to identify ways of creating relaxation from the viewpoint of the holy Quran. Method: This is a fundamental type of research work conducted by qualitative method and content analysis approach. The statistical population consists of all the Quranic verses and Quranic interpretations. The statistical sample includes all the verses of the holy Quran directly or indirectly related to the issue of relaxation. Results: The results revealed eleven ways of creating mental peace from the Quran's perspective: Islamic governance, marriage, patience and resistance, benefaction and altruism, efficient management, faith, righteous deed, prayer, sleep, hope for Divine grace and mercy, and hope for Divine promises. Discussion: Given that the Quran is a healing prescription from God for human beings, making use of these ways results in relaxation. In fact, all of these strategies are effective in creating mental peace.

Introduction: This paper examines the effect of motivational determinants on learners’ language learning development in an intensive language learning course. Method: Ninety-four language learners, aged 20 to 30, from a military university in Tehran participated in this study. They completed a translated, adapted version of Gardner’s Motivation-Attitude Test Battery. Results: Four key constructs, namely motivation, integrative motivation, organizational influence, and anxiety, were obtained from the analysis of the test. The results revealed that integrative motivation predicts language learning development positively, and motivation can be considered a predictor for language learning development while organizational influence is considered a negative predictor for language learning development. Discussion: The study confirms that all other factors being equal, motivation is the most important determinant of language learning. The wider concluding remark of this research is that motivation is context dependent and any language learning context is unique in this regard and has its own motivational model.
