[English]

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the mediating role of resilience in the relationship between self-determination and perceived stress in independent spouses. The descriptive research method was correlation type. The statistical population included all unmarried wives living in Mashhad in 1402, out of which 250 people were selected through available sampling. In order to collect information, the self-determined basic needs questionnaires of Gary Guardia, Desi and Ryan (2000), Connor and Davidson questionnaire (2003) and Cohen questionnaire (1983) were used. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between the basic needs of self-determination with resilience variables (P = 0.008, r = 0.186) and perceived stress (P = 0.001, r = 0.224). Because the significant value corresponding to these coefficients is less than 0.05. Also, the examination of the relationships between research variables in the modified model showed that between the basic needs of self-determination with resilience variables (β = -0.558, P < 0.001) and perceived stress (P = 0.307, P < 0.001) β) There is a significant relationship. Also, there is a significant relationship between resilience and perceived stress variable (P < 0.001, β = -0.557). The indirect relationship between the two variables of basic self-determination needs and perceived stress with the mediation of resilience variable (P < 0.001, β = 0.311) has also become significant. Therefore, in explaining the results, it can be said that the resilience variable plays a mediating role in the relationship between self-determination and perceived stress.
