This study aimed to elucidate the psychological mechanisms of religious assemblies (Hyats) in enhancing the Islamic identity of military forces and developing a localized identity-building model. Data were collected through field observations in seven military bases and semi-structured interviews with military personnel, analyzed using Braun and Clarke’s (2022) six-stage thematic analysis approach. The findings identified four identity-forming themes: identity resilience (redefining identity as a "soldier of the cultural front" and strengthening group cohesion), ritual-psychological cohesion (reducing psychological stress through epic hymns and collective rituals), reproduction of ideological-jihadi identity (modeling martyrs and elucidating jihad concepts), and institutional socialization of Islamic identity (integrating military-religious training and elite networking). These themes were organized into a localized model comprising five components (identity inputs, psychological processors, operational environments, psychological defense outputs, and feedback) within a dynamic cycle (nourishment, refinement, injection, evaluation, updating), transforming Hyats into a system for enhancing resilience and Islamic identity. Results indicate that Hyats, through four protective layers (cognitive, emotional, semantic, institutional), enhance combat morale and organizational loyalty. The primary recommendation is integrating this model into military training policies and establishing specialized Hyats to strengthen identity and psychological resilience in units.
