[English]

Family resilience is a key capacity that enables successful adaptation to life crises. The present study aimed to identify the components of family resilience among Iranian families in the context of war. This qualitative study employed a grounded theory approach and conducted semi-structured interviews with 12 parents (8 mothers and 4 fathers) purposefully selected. Data were analyzed using open and axial coding techniques. Data analysis led to the emergence of a core category titled “Family Resilience: Flexibility for Maintaining Balance,” comprising 12 key components: psychological self-care of spouses, crisis management and preparedness, family psychological resources and competencies, safe environment and contextual awareness, spirituality and resilient beliefs, influence of media, family social network, intimate and supportive intra-family relationships, empowerment and flexibility in child care, daily life management, individual and family growth, and enhancement of cognitive-perceptual capacities. Resilient families were able to effectively cope with stressors by maintaining emotional and cognitive balance, strengthening spousal and parent-child relationships, utilizing psychological and spiritual resources, and preparing for crisis situations. The findings of this study can inform the design of educational and supportive interventions for families and psychological centers, contributing to the enhancement of family quality of life.
