چکیده [English]

The problems of the veterans are not limited to themselves, but they also enter into the family life and affect their quality of life. The purpose of this study was to investigate the life status of children of psycho veterans. The results showed that problems caused by father's disabilities affect seven categories including attitude, psychological health, interpersonal relationships, physical health, financial conditions, academic achievement and academic performance. Children of veterans of psychiatry are continually exposed to psychological trauma from the first stages of their development, and the role of father is one of the sources of aggravation or weakening of mental and behavioral disorders in them. Proposed strategies to prevent or weaken these injuries include monitoring and identifying vulnerable people from childhood and adolescence and their ongoing follow-up to provide psychological services and problem solving in the field of interpersonal relationships، academic performance، etc. This qualitative study was conducted by phenomenological method with purposive sampling through semi-structured interview. The statistical population of the present study was children of psychiatric veterans living in Tehran. The interview process continued until data saturation and finally reached saturation with 10 samples. The data were analyzed using Colaizzi's seven-step method.
